Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026.

Who we are

Idunn Editorial is a brand and publishing project of Creatividad Destinada Corp., a corporation based at Innova 109, Ciudad del Saber, Ancón, Panama City, Panama. Creatividad Destinada is responsible for the personal information collected on idunneditorial.com, under Panama’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law 81 of 2019) and its regulations (Executive Decree 285 of 2021). This policy describes the same practices as our Spanish-language notice.

To exercise your rights or ask anything about this policy, write to [email protected].

What we collect

We ask only for what the task in front of you needs, and each form marks its optional fields.

When you buy or download from our shop, we collect your first name, last name, email address and country, so we can send you the file and keep a record of the order. If you pay by card in US dollars, we also ask for your city, ZIP or postal code and phone number, which the payment processor uses to verify the charge. Payments are handled by PayPal or Tilopay, depending on the method you choose: your card or PayPal account details go directly to the payment processor, and we receive only the confirmation and the amount.

When you order a printed book, we also collect the recipient’s name, the delivery address and a phone number, which the printer and the carrier need to make and deliver it.

When you subscribe while downloading a free printable, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name. We also record which printable you downloaded, so we can send you more from the same series, and whether you open our emails and which links you click, so we can tell what’s useful to you.

When you join the waitlist for our personalized books, we collect your email address, to write to you once, when the first book is ready.

When you personalize a product, the information about the child described under “If you personalize a product for a child,” and your account, which lets you come back to your library.

When you subscribe from the page footer, we collect your email address, to send you what we publish.

When you write to us through the contact form, we collect your name, email and message. They reach us by email and aren’t stored on the site.

When you comment on an article, we keep the name and email you enter and the IP address you comment from, which WordPress uses to filter spam. Your name and comment are published; your email and IP address are not.

While you browse, technical information about your visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the site that sent you. Some of it is collected by the site itself and some by the tools described under “Cookies and tracking” below.

Children

Our printables and activity books are for children ages 3 to 9, made for a parent, guardian or teacher to download and print. The site is meant for those adults, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. When an adult personalizes a product, that adult gives us a few details about the child, which we handle as described under “If you personalize a product for a child.” Our ads are always aimed at adults, and our advertising tool is kept off the pages where a character is created, which children use together with an adult. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to [email protected] and we’ll delete it.

How we use it

Based on our business relationship with you and the purchase contract, and on the law for tax purposes, we use it to deliver what you bought or downloaded and help with your order; to make, store and deliver again the personalized products you order; to ask you once, a week later, whether the printable you downloaded worked for you; to answer your messages; to keep the site running and protect it from fraud and attacks; and to meet our tax and legal obligations.

Only with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time, we also use it to send you new printables and news from Idunn; to recommend products by email based on your past downloads and purchases and on interests you shared with us, including the child’s if you agree when personalizing; to keep the character you made for a child and email you when they can star in a book of their own, as explained under “If you personalize a product for a child”; to measure how the site is used; and to show you Idunn ads on other platforms, chosen by products related to your past downloads and purchases and by interests you shared, and measure how they perform. Our ads are always aimed at adults. You can turn down any of these without affecting your purchases or downloads.

If you personalize a product for a child

Our personalized activity books and pages carry a child’s first name and a character drawn to their liking. To make them we ask for as little as possible, and we handle it with more care than the rest of our data.

What we ask about the child:

  • their first name, without a last name;
  • whether the text should say “girl” or “boy,” so the sentences agree;
  • their age range or reading level (for example, ages 5 to 6), to set the difficulty;
  • their interests or favorite themes, like ocean animals or dinosaurs;
  • the character options you choose from a list, such as skin tone, hair, eyes, clothes and their colors;
  • if you’d like a birthday touch in the product or an email when their birthday comes up, the month of their birthday, and nothing more.

We don’t ask for photos, voice recordings, a full date of birth or last names. The character is built from menu options, and skin tone and the other features are used only to draw it.

What we use it for: to make the product you ordered; to keep it in your library so you can download it again whenever you like; to correct it if you ask us to; and to give you, from the same order, other formats we offer later, such as an ebook, audio or video.

If you agree in a separate checkbox, we also use their first name, age range, favorite themes and birthday month to choose what we recommend to you by email: activity books and stories related to what you’ve already downloaded or bought, and a note when their birthday comes up. Those emails go to you, the adult who placed the order. You can withdraw that permission through the link in any of them or by writing to us, and we then remove that information from our mailing list.

The child’s information stays with us: it never goes to advertising platforms or to third parties that would use it for their own purposes. If you order a printed book, the printer receives the book file, which carries the child’s name and character, only to print and ship it.

Who provides it: the adult placing the order, for their family or as a gift. We only ask for the first name of the person or people the product is for, and by giving us someone else’s name you confirm that you’re able to share it and that the details are correct.

How long we keep it: while your account is active, so your library stays available. If 24 months go by without you signing in or placing an order, we delete the child’s information and the generated files; we email you first, in case you want to download them. The tax records of your purchase are kept separately and don’t include the child’s information. If you personalize a product and don’t order it, that personalization is deleted after 8 days.

If you order a free page, like the Day of the Dead calaverita, the page goes through an order just like everything else you download, and as with any personalized product we create your account with the order email. We keep the first name of whoever signs it (your child’s, or yours if you sign it), the profile you chose for the text (for example, “soccer fan” or “bookworm”) and, if you made your child’s character, its options, for 90 days, in case you need us to fix it, and when that period ends the system deletes them automatically, unless you choose to keep their character for their book, as explained in the next paragraph. If it is dedicated to someone else, like a teacher, a grandparent, a coworker or a friend, the text also carries that person’s first name, which you type in (for a mother or father it can go without a name): we keep it with the rest, for the same 90 days, only to make the page, and it is deleted automatically with the rest. Before that period ends, or for whatever you chose to keep, you can ask us to change or delete it by writing to [email protected]. The finished page, which carries their name, stays in your library so you can download it again, for the same period as any personalized product.

If you’d like us to let you know when they can star in their own book, we ask in a separate checkbox, unchecked, when you order the page or right after. Depending on that checkbox, we keep the character you made to use in that book (the options you picked from the list, with no photos and no 3D model), or only your permission to email you. If you tell us what you’d like the book to be about, we use that answer and the page’s profile only to choose which book to tell you about. We keep the character until you withdraw your permission or until 24 months go by without you placing an order or opening one of our emails, and we let you know before deleting it. You withdraw your permission with the link in any of those emails or by writing to us.

How to delete it sooner: write to [email protected] asking us to delete the child’s profile and files, and we’ll confirm in writing when it’s done. Later on you’ll be able to do it yourself from your library.

Your account

When you order a personalized product, including a free one like the calaverita, we create an account with your order email. That’s where your library (“My content”) lives, where you keep what you personalized and download it again whenever you want. We don’t ask for a password at checkout: we email you so you can set one.

What the account keeps: your name, your email, your orders and the personalized products with the child’s information described above.

How to delete it: write to [email protected] asking us to delete your account. We delete it along with your library and the child’s information, and confirm in writing. We keep only what tax law requires us to keep about your purchases, without the child’s information.

Download links in our emails: when your product is ready, the email includes a direct link that works without signing in for 30 days. Keep it like anything personal: whoever has it can download the file until it expires. After that, the product is still in your library.

Who we share it with

A few service providers handle information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us: the company that hosts our server and its backups (including the service that makes personalized products, which is ours and runs on that same server), Cloudflare (delivers the pages and shields our forms from bots) and Google Analytics, which we’ve set up to measure the site without sharing the data with other Google products.

If you order a printed book, the printer that makes it and the carrier that delivers it also receive, on our behalf, the book file, the recipient’s name, the address and the phone number, only to print it and get it to you.

PayPal and Tilopay receive payment information directly from you and each handles it under its own privacy policy.

Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) receives information about your visit only if you accept advertising cookies. Meta uses it to show you Idunn ads and measure their results, and also for its own advertising purposes. Our ads are always aimed at adults, and what reaches Meta is information about your visit, never the child’s information. Meta and Google are the other parties that may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites when you use ours, and only within the choices described below.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We don’t sell your personal information.

Where it’s stored

Our server is in the United States; Cloudflare, Google, PayPal, Tilopay and Meta operate from several countries, and the printers for printed books are in or near the delivery country, so your information is stored and processed outside Panama. We do this because it’s needed to fulfil your order and keep our business relationship with you, except for Meta, which depends on your consent. The providers that handle information on our behalf commit to using it only to provide their service to us and to protect it.

How we protect it

The site runs on encrypted connections, access to your information is limited to the people who need it to handle your order, and payment details never pass through our systems. If a security incident ever affected your information, we’d tell you and the authority within 72 hours of learning about it, with what happened, which information was affected and what we did.

Cookies and tracking

When you first visit, a notice tells you we use cookies and asks before turning on advertising cookies.

You can change your choice whenever you like with the Cookie preferences link, also at the bottom of every page. To opt out of interest-based ads more broadly, see your Meta ad preferences, the Digital Advertising Alliance in the US, or YourAdChoices in Canada.

If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies also wait for your consent, and the cookie notice includes a button to keep only the essential ones.

Each time you make a choice in the cookie notice, we keep a record of it: the date, what you accepted and the version of the notice you saw, along with a random identifier stored in your browser. The record holds neither your IP address nor your name, it’s deleted after 12 months, and it lets us show what you agreed to if that’s ever needed.

Do Not Track. Our site doesn’t change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Advertising cookies load only if you accept them in the cookie notice.

How long we keep it

Subscription data for as long as you stay subscribed; contact messages for as long as the conversation lasts and a reasonable time after; order records, including a printed book’s delivery address, for the period tax rules require; the information in a personalized product while your account is active and up to 24 months without activity, as explained under “If you personalize a product for a child”; a personalization that never became an order, 8 days; the personalization data of a free page, 90 days, and the finished page like any personalized product; and the character you asked us to keep so we can tell you about their book, until you withdraw your permission or up to 24 months without an order or an opened email. After that, we delete them.

Your choices and rights

Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link and a link to choose what you receive. To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to stop us from using it for a particular purpose, or to get a copy you can take to another service, write to [email protected] with your name, the email you used with us, and what you’d like us to do. A parent or guardian can do this on behalf of a child. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We’ll give you the information you ask for within 10 business days and correct inaccurate information within 5, and we answer every other request within 10 business days. It costs you nothing.

If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Panama’s data protection authority, the Autoridad Nacional de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información (ANTAI). Depending on where you live, you may also turn to:

  • Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
  • The European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: the data protection authority in your country. You also have the rights in the General Data Protection Regulation, such as asking us to restrict how we use your information.
  • Mexico: the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, under Mexico’s data protection law.
  • The United States: we don’t sell your information. The only sharing for advertising is with Meta, which happens only if you accept advertising cookies, and you can withdraw it under “Cookie preferences”.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with its effective date. If the change is significant, such as a new purpose or a new party we share information with, we’ll also email our subscribers.
